For privacy enquiries and to exercise your rights, contact us at support@rydova.ch. We comply with the Swiss Data Protection Act and other applicable data protection law. Simply using our website does not replace consent where legally required.

2. Data we process

Depending on the features you use, we process in particular:

  • Contact and address data such as name, email, phone number, billing and delivery address;
  • Order and transaction data such as products ordered, quantities, prices, payment status, delivery, collection, returns and warranty claims;
  • Payment information needed for the chosen method; payment providers process the relevant payment data;
  • Account data and settings if you use a customer account;
  • Communication content, including voluntarily submitted photos, videos and information about a product problem;
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser, device, access time, cookie identifiers and information on shop use.

Data comes from you, your use of our shop and service providers handling payments, shipping or technical functions, for example. We need the information necessary to fulfil an order; without it we may be unable to process the order.

3. Purposes of processing

We process data to provide the shop, handle orders and payments, organise deliveries and collections, answer customer enquiries and handle returns, defects and warranty claims. Other purposes include secure operation, fraud prevention, improving our offering, meeting legal obligations, and preserving and enforcing legal claims.

Marketing, personalised recommendations and advertising take place within the features used and applicable law. We obtain your consent where required. You can unsubscribe from advertising messages using their unsubscribe option or by emailing us. Necessary order and service communications remain unaffected.

4. Shopify and other recipients

Our online shop runs on Shopify. Shopify processes data for hosting, shop functions, checkout, security and platform provision. For certain advanced features, Shopify may also process data under its own responsibility, for example for personalisation, service improvement or advertising involving interactions across multiple merchants.

Further information is available in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can also exercise rights and choices concerning Shopify through the Shopify Privacy Portal to do so.

Where necessary for the relevant purpose, payment, shipping and logistics, IT and communication providers, and partners assigned to service or warranty cases also receive the relevant data. Analytics and marketing partners receive data within the features used and legal requirements. Authorities, courts or professional advisers receive data where legally required or necessary to protect legal claims.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The shop uses cookies and similar technologies for functions such as cart, login, security and saved settings. Depending on enabled features, they also support analytics and personalised advertising. Your consent applies where required. You can manage and delete cookies in your browser and use the privacy or cookie settings offered. Blocking necessary cookies may limit shop functionality.

6. Communication and external services

If you contact us by email, contact form or a communication service linked in the shop, we process your information to handle the enquiry. With Gmail or WhatsApp, their providers are also involved and process data under their own privacy policies. You choose which offered channel to use. Linked third-party websites are subject to their operators’ privacy policies.

7. Data processing abroad

Shopify and other international service providers may process data outside Switzerland. Shopify identifies Canada and Singapore in particular as possible processing locations. The services used and their subcontractors are decisive. Further information is provided by Shopify’s Data Processing Addendum.

For disclosures to countries without an adequate level of data protection, legally required safeguards must be observed, particularly recognised standard data protection clauses with necessary Swiss adaptations, binding corporate rules or a statutory exception. You may ask us for information on the recipients, countries and safeguards involved in a specific case.

8. Retention and security

We retain data for as long as needed for the stated purposes, statutory retention obligations or protection of legal claims. Data is then deleted or anonymised unless there are lawful grounds for retention. Duration depends in particular on the business relationship, document type and legal obligations.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data. Absolute security during transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed.

9. Your rights

Under applicable law, you may request information about your personal data and its processing, and correction of inaccurate data. Subject to legal requirements, you may also request deletion, cessation or restriction of processing, and release or transfer of data. You may withdraw consent for the future. Statutory retention duties and other legal exceptions remain reserved.

Contact support@rydova.ch for this. Reasonable proof of identity may be needed to process a request. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or another competent supervisory authority. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, its additional rights apply, particularly objection and complaint to a supervisory authority.

10. Changes

We may update this privacy policy if our processing or legal requirements change. The version published on this page with its stated date applies. We notify you of material changes where legally required.
