Refund policy

Voluntary returns: request within 14 days

Switzerland has no general statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. Under Rydova’s voluntary policy, you may, within 14 days of receiving the goods request a return. The request period does not guarantee acceptance: a voluntary return requires Rydova’s prior written approval.

Requirements and exclusions

The product must be unused, undamaged, complete and in its original packaging. All accessories must be present, including charger, manual, keys, supplied spare parts and packaging materials.

Excluded from voluntary returns are:

  • Used, assembled or already ridden scooters and other products;
  • Damaged, dirty or incomplete products and products showing signs of use;
  • Individually ordered or specially sourced products;
  • Spare parts already installed;
  • Used, opened, damaged or incorrectly stored batteries;
  • Products with tuning, modifications or tampering;
  • Products without original packaging or complete accessories.

Rydova may refuse a voluntary return if the goods can no longer be sold as new. For goods sourced to order, therefore clarify whether a return is possible before sending them back.

Request a return

Before any return, write to support@rydova.ch. Include the order number, name, product and reason for return, with photos of the product and packaging. Return goods only after written confirmation and in accordance with its return instructions. Unauthorised voluntary returns may be rejected or sent back at your expense.

Return shipping costs and packaging

For a voluntary return, you pay return shipping unless Rydova confirms otherwise in writing. Pack goods safely and choose an appropriate shipping method; follow the carrier’s battery requirements. To the extent permitted by law, you bear the risk of loss or damage during a voluntary return.

Inspection and refund

Rydova inspects the goods upon receipt. For accepted voluntary returns, Rydova’s existing policy provides for a handling and restocking fee of 10% of the product price is deducted, including for unused goods in original packaging.

Original shipping, return shipping and actual payment fees, customs duties, import charges and other handling costs are not refunded for voluntary returns unless Rydova confirms otherwise in writing. If used, damaged or incomplete goods are exceptionally accepted, reasonable loss of value and necessary repair, cleaning or packaging costs may also be considered. Rydova will provide the settlement details. After receipt and inspection, refunds are generally made through the original payment method.

Defects, incorrect deliveries and transport damage

Inspect delivery on receipt and report visible defects or incorrect items promptly, and hidden defects after discovery, to Rydova in writing. Include order number, defect description, photos or videos and serial number where available. Document transport damage with the carrier as soon as possible and keep photos of packaging and shipping label.

Statutory rights relating to defects remain unaffected. The 14-day request period, return exclusions, original-packaging requirement and 10% fee apply solely to voluntary returns and do not limit statutory defect claims. Their handling and costs are governed by law.

Voluntary Rydova warranty

In addition to statutory defect rights, Rydova provides a voluntary warranty on scooters bought from Rydova for 2 years from receipt of the goods for material and manufacturing defects.

Excluded are normal wear and wear parts, normal battery ageing or capacity loss, fall and accident damage, and damage due to misuse, lack of maintenance, incorrect charging or storage, overloading, water exposure outside manufacturer specifications, tuning, tampering, technical modifications and unauthorised or improper repairs.

Report a warranty claim to support@rydova.ch with the order number, defect description, serial number if available, and photos or videos. After assessment, the case is handled through repair, spare parts, replacement delivery or another appropriate solution. Statutory rights relating to defects remain unaffected. Any manufacturer’s warranty is governed by the manufacturer’s separate terms.

Cancellation

Voluntary cancellation can be requested only while the order has not yet been processed, packed, dispatched or placed with the supplier. Under Rydova’s existing policy, it requires a significant, understandable reason, such as an accidental duplicate order or demonstrable ordering error. A change of mind alone creates no entitlement. Cancellation takes effect only upon Rydova’s written confirmation. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
